Our Approach
Be First. Be Impactful. Be Rewarded.

The Pre-Seed Fund
Launched in 2025, Adaptation Ventures is a pre-seed fund and community of investors that see the opportunity for market-rate returns and impact in disability-tech startups. Our goal is to invest a minimum of $150k in each company that passes diligence.

Market
We look for exceptional founders who run U.S.-based companies that serve or can serve the disability community, and demonstrate the ability to be venture-scalable. This can be permanent, temporary, or prevention of disabilities.

Sector
We proudly differ from other funds in that we are sector-agnostic. This means that we will consider investments in B2B and B2C startups that provide technology, services, and/or products for any part of the disability market and community.

Stage
We are an early-stage fund. Our primary objective is to lead the pre-seed round and contribute to or co-lead seed rounds. This is where we believe we can help make the biggest impact.

Meetings & Community
We have at least 4 virtual meetings per year. At each meeting, a minimum of 4 companies will pitch. There will be an opportunity for Q&A and small group discussions. A slack channel and in-person gatherings further engage the community.

Diligence
Select companies will move to diligence. Diligence is conducted by a small group of investors and at least one managing partner. Once an investment decision is made, a report will be sent to members.

Speakers & Education
We aim to bring difficult topics in the accessibility/disability tech space to the forefront, inspire future founders to start accessible tech companies, and educate investors about the incredible opportunities for investment in these types of companies.

Hands-on Approach
We want to be active in helping our founders grow successful companies. As a result, we have developed a framework and network for our portfolio companies to access subject-matter experts that we believe will be most impactful to them.

Amplification
Our job is not only to deploy money to startups, but to bring a voice to the opportunities and needs of our portfolio companies and the countless other startups doing important work for the disability community and the world.
